This workshop will focus on liberating the musical spirit from conditioned inhibitions, and on reviving and energizing the inherent capacity for self-expression and creativity. Ensemble Improvisation, Rhythm, Harmony and Theory, Soloing, Accompaniment, Jazz Styles , Repertoire and Developing One's Own Sound will be discussed. Other possible topics include Sight-Reading, Sight-Singing, Vocal Scatting, Ear Training and Transcription.
